Last 20th and 21st January, the mid-term review project meeting of the OVOSHINE project took place in ATEKNEA en Cornellá de Llobregat (Barcelona) in order to discuss the current status of the project and the steps to take in the coming 6 months. The technical partners from Germany, Norway and Spain are following correctly the time schedule established at the beginning of the project, having designed and develop an eggshell hygienization technology prototype. This prototype will be tested at the pilot farm (El Canto) to evaluate this technology in the normal working conditions of a middle-size farm and conduct adjustments if needed.
The potential clients of this hygienization technology for eggshells (hatcheries, packing stations and the egg product industries) were identified as well as the commercialization routes and diffusion of the advantages of this technology for the companies within this sector.
